Original Paragraph:
The movie had an interesting plot line and seemed original but once examining the movie more it’s easy to find the same patterns that exists in most drama movies. Sure not every drama film includes your entire immediate family dying in a tragic accident, but there is always relationship troubles and the typical life changing decisions that arise.
SIEL Paragraph:
In the movie, if I stay, the plot line displays similar patterns found in a basic drama movie even though it attempts to portray originality. For example, the car accident killing her entire immediate family seems over dramatic and a plot line that has not been done. However, many smaller parts in the plot show preexisting scenes in multiple drama movies that have already been done. For example, Mia and Adam face the problem of an upcoming long distance relationship. If Mia gets accepted into Julliard and Adam’s band continues to gain popularity, they will be many miles apart. Relationship problems are an almost definite in any drama film and in this particular film, it’s a reoccurring issue and in the end factors into a very big decision Mia has to make. Therefore, this movie fits well into its drama category.
